「海藻おしば」とは、
カラフルでユニークな形の魅力的な海藻を材料とした作品です。
普段は海の中で生活しているので、
多く人は実物を見る機会が少なく、
これまでその美しさが知られていませんでした。
世界の海藻は約1万種、
その内日本では約1,500種が確認されています。
伊豆半島は海藻の宝庫と呼ばれ、
約450種の海藻が確認されています。
魅力的な海藻を材料とした「海藻おしば」の世界をどうぞお楽しみください。
Seaweeds play an important role in nature, such as supporting the growth of marine organisms, improving water quality and so on. “Kaisou-oshiba (pressed seaweed)” is a work of art which uses the seaweed thrown upon the beach and it symbolizes the wealth of nature.
